About Me

A little introduction to the person behind the camera, along with answers to FAQ’s.

About Me

Hi, I’m Kayleigh, a family photographer, a lover of the outdoors, and a mum of two who knows just how quickly childhood moments slip by. I’ve been photographing for over eight years, but honestly, I’ve loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember.

I grew up surrounded by animals, especially dogs, and their friendly faces have always brought me joy. That love for animals naturally blends into my work and I love including them in sessions whenever families want to. Their warmth and energy add something truly special.

My style is natural, relaxed, and focused on the little details that make your family unique. I’m happiest shooting outdoors, surrounded by nature, animals, and real connection. I keep editing to a minimum, as I believe it’s important to preserve the true feeling and authenticity of each moment.

From our first conversation to your finished gallery, I ensure a calm and professional experience. My focus is on creating authentic, genuine moments while allowing them to unfold naturally.

Some Frequently Asked Questions

Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, there is a £50 non-refundable deposit for all services to be booked.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Living in England makes the weather sometimes a little unpredictable. If the weather has taken a turn for the worse, we can reschedule the booking for free.

What should we wear to the session?

The most important thing is to wear something you feel comfortable and confident in, as many of my sessions take place outdoors. Avoid large logos or busy patterns, and instead choose colours that complement each other if you’re coming as a group. Most importantly, dress for the weather and for comfort, relaxed people make for the most natural photographs.

How and when will we receive our photos?

I aim to deliver images within two weeks of your session. You will receive an email once your gallery is ready to view, with a link & password to access your images.

Do you travel outside the Bristol/Bath area?

Yes, I’m happy to travel a little further afield. Depending on the distance, a small travel fee may apply, and this is also subject to diary availability. Feel free to get in touch with your location details and I’ll be happy to advise.

Newborn Sessions

Is there a best age for newborn photography?

The ideal time for newborn photography is within the first 2–3 weeks after birth. During this stage, babies are often sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful, squishy poses, making it the perfect time to capture those early, precious details.

Do you bring props for newborn sessions?

I do bring a small selection of simple props, such as cushions and soft layers, to gently enhance the photos while keeping the focus on your baby. I also recommend choosing one or two outfits or special accessories you’d like your baby photographed in to add a personal touch to the session.

Can extended family members join the session?

Of course. Parents and siblings are very welcome to be part of the session, and this is something we can discuss during the initial planning stages to make sure there’s time to capture everyone comfortably.

Pet Sessions

What if my dog can’t be let off the lead?

That’s absolutely fine, we’ll work around whatever is most comfortable and safe for your dog. I usually recommend bringing a simple collar rather than a harness, as it looks more subtle in photos, and leads can often be edited out where needed.

Does my dog need to be fully trained?

Not at all. I can work around your dog’s behaviour and focus on capturing their unique personality, just as they are.
